Note: For this analysis, we imputed data for some countries (most of them from the Eastern Block). Imputations were based on the available values from later years (1991-1998) and calculated using an exponential growth curve that fit the data extremely well (R²=.998). Modularity analysis returned 4 clusters (modularity = .328, with resolution = .710). Different colors represent different network components: Pink – Multiregional cluster, Red – Eastern bloc, Blue – Europe-Plus, Green – Muslim World.
