Data:Note: For this analysis, we imputed data for some countries (most of them from the Eastern Block). Imputations were based on the available values from later years (1996-1998) and calculated using an exponential growth curve that fit the data extremely well (R²=.998). Modularity analysis returned 7 clusters (modularity = .319, with resolution = .716). Different colors represent different network components: Pink – Multiregional cluster, Red – Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Blue – Europe-Plus, Grey – Southern Africa.
